I got a brush! I got a brush! I got a brush! I love Ipsy… this month. For those of you who don’t know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly subscription for beauty addicts. It’s only $10 a month or, depending on how your live your life, only 2 Grande Iced Caramel Macchiatos from Starbucks. For $10 you get 5 beauty products and an always adorable makeup bag. The products you get range from nail polishes to lipsticks to eye shadows and the rare and sought after makeup brushes. The other really cool part is that everyone gets different products. The likelihood of you and your girlfriends all getting the exact same products is slim to none, which makes it more exciting, in my opinion!
Ipsy is great at providing a wide variety of beauty products and introducing you to different brands, big and small. For example, this month I got an eyeliner from NYX Cosmetics (super well-known) and from Sally’s Box, a Korean beauty brand (I would never know without Ipsy). The brand and Ipsy offers you get for being a subscriber are incredible and you get points for giving your opinion on your bag. Those points add up to choose beauty products, fo free. I likey.

Check out my bag! The Halloween theme is adorable. img_2178

Here’s what I got this month:

NYX Professional Makeup
Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Gunmetal [$7.00]

I can barely put on black eye liner successfully. I’m not going to mess with metallic silver eyeliner. WHAT? But, I will use this liquid eye-liner as a shadow for a dramatic eye. You just swipe it over the lid and then use your finger or eye shadow brush to blend out the color and boom. That’s a look.

TATCHA
PURE One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil [$12.00]

I usually take off my makeup with a makeup removing wipe and then wash my face. I’ve never used a cleansing oil before and I didn’t think I would really like this product. I was wrong. TATCHA is a reputable high-end brand and uses only the best and safest ingredients. I like using this at night because the oils have time to soak into my skin and keep it hydrated long after I’ve wiped it off. You just massage the oil into your face and then use a hand towel to wipe off your foundation and eye makeup and you’re dirty no more.fileasset-4

Lottie London
Perfectly Precise Eyeshadow Brush [$15.00]

Did I mention I GOT A BRUSH!? I’m so happy. It’s like finding a unicorn but better. This brush is great. It picks up the color and packs it on your lid. There’s no fallout! The fibers of the brush are so dense that you have complete control of where you want the color to go. I’m going to use this brush a lot.

tre’StiQue
Matte Lip Crayon in Belize Bordeaux [$6.99]

I have been super obsessed with lippies of all kinds lately. I’ve been wearing a different lipstick every day and experimenting with everything from uber dark liquid lipsticks to pretty pink stains. Nonetheless, I was excited to get a lipstick. I hadn’t heard of tre’Stique before but that’s a French ass name so I expected a lot. I love how creamy the formula is and the packaging is awesome. I’m not in love with the color, though. It’s a pink that I wouldn’t normally wear. It just doesn’t do anything for me. I don’t hate it but if I lost it, I wouldn’t be heartbroken. Look for yourself.

Sally’s Box
Aqua Moist Gel Cream [$11.10]

The moisturizer I normally use is a gel base so I’m used to this type of face cream. My skin just soaks it up. Aqua Moist (awkward name, right?) is great. It feels refreshing and cool when you put it on and it smells like the ocean. In a good way. It actually reminded me of our vacation in Punta Cana. I really like it. It has aloe and natural minerals and it’s great in the morning when you need to wake up.

So, add all the above up and my October Glam Bag is valued at over $52! That’s not including how much the makeup bag is worth and yes, that’s the cost of the deluxe sample sizes I received (not the full-sizes).  Remember that this only costs me $10 and shipping is free.

I switched from Sephora Play to Ipsy because I was sick of receiving the same products over and over. My friends’ constant praise of their own Ipsy bags really pushed me over the edge and I’m glad I jumped…. If you want to know more, contact me!
